Where are the properties located?
Byron Beach Retreats are located in the exclusive and secure Pavilions Enclave in Broken Head.
Do you have cots available?
Yes, we are able to organise cots, strollers, high chairs and other equipment (additional charges apply). Please advise at time of booking if you require baby equipment for your stay.
Where are the closest airports?
Ballina Airport is 20 minutes drive south. Gold Coast Airport (formally known as Coolangatta Airport) is one hour drive north. Brisbane International Airport is also an easy 2 hour drive north. Limousines and/or airport transfers can be arranged if required.
How many guests do the properties take?
The Beach House has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms – the master King bedroom with private ensuite & private deck, the second Queen bedroom with private deck, the third bedroom has the option of 1 king or 2 single beds, the standard bedding configuration sleeps up 6 guests (king, queen, king or 2 singles). However, we can offer a single rollaway bed suitable for a child (additional charges will apply, and this must be arranged at the time of booking).
The Bungalow has a master King bedroom, the standard bedding configurations sleeps 2 guests. However, we can offer the option for 2 children on the double foldout sofa, please note the double foldout is not suitable for adults. Please advise at time of booking if you require the sofa bed during your stay (additional charges apply).
Do you allow children?
Yes, children are welcome at both The Beach House and The Bungalow.
Are pets allowed?
The Beach House – Yes, the Beach House is pet friendly for small dogs (maximum 7kg). An additional fee applies.
The Bungalow – No, the Bungalow does not allow pets.
What is the minimum number of night stay?
The Beach House – There is normally a 3 night minimum stay applicable during low season and a 7 night minimum stay applicable during high season periods. However, we do offer occasional promotions throughout the year where these minimum stays may vary.
The Bungalow – There is normally a 3 night minimum stay applicable during low season and a 5 night minimum stay applicable during high season periods. However, we do offer occasional promotions throughout the year where these minimum stays may vary.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
For both properties the check-in time is 2pm, the check-out time is 10am (unless by prior arrangement).
What is the deposit and payment policy?
For both properties, 50% tariff deposit to secure booking, the remaining 50% tariff 30 days prior to arrival. Security bond payable 7 days prior to arrival.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation or variation:
- If you wish to cancel your booking please contact us immediately on 0403 617 449
- Your deposit is non-refundable in the event of cancellation
- If you have paid more than the deposit, or paid in full, and cancel your booking 14 days prior to arrival you will be refunded all money less 50% deposit.
- If you cancel within 14 days of arrival no refund will apply.
Can we book less guests at The Boardwalk?
Absolutely, we offer minimum guests stays across both The Boardwalk and The Beach House. Please message or call for availability.
How do we arrange access to keys?
For both properties electronic keypads are installed at the property for guest convenience and easy access, the code will be sent prior to check-in.
Are there laundry facilities?
Yes, all properties have washer, dryer, iron, ironing board.
Do you have push bikes we can use?
Yes, both properties have push bikes.
Do you have surf boards we can use?
Yes. Surf boards are available for your use at both properties.
Is there WiFi?
Yes, both properties have complimentary WiFi.
Is linen provided?
Yes, linen is provided and included.
Are beach towels provided?
Yes, we understand when travelling that trying to limit packing is a concern, for guest convenience we offer complimentary beach towel use during your stay.
How far is the nearest beach?
The retreats are located in the exclusive and secure Pavilions Enclave, Pavilions is located on the beachfront at Broken Head. It is approximately 150 metres along a private track through the sand dues to the beach.
How far is the property from town?
It is 7km from the centre of Byron Bay.
Do you have wheelchair access?
Yes, The Beach House is fully wheelchair friendly including a disabled bathroom.
Is there a convenience store nearby?
There is a small shop located 400m away at the Caravan Park, or a neighbourhood shopping centre is approximately 2 kilometres away at Suffolk Park. The shopping centre has a Spa supermarket, pharmacist, bakery, bottle shop, post office, as well as an Italian and India restaurants.
